I offer tutoring in all elementary level subjects, plus outdoor education.

I work with homeschoolers as their main teacher in a subject or offer extra help to school-going students who need it. Sessions vary from one to six hours. Subjects I’ve taught recently include math, science, writing, local history, and social studies. As with reading, I’m passionate about the subjects I teach and I love figuring out what motivates each student. I strive to make learning hands-on and minds-on, and to find the connections among different subjects and to our everyday lives. Whenever possible, I love to explore with my students the less-told stories of marginalized people.
